Respighi in Beijing: Chinese Premiere at the Forbidden City

Giulia Rimonda will perform Ottorino Respighi’s “Concerto Gregoriano” for the first time in China. She will play on September 20, 2025, at the Forbidden City Concert Hall, followed by a second concert on September 21 at the Beijing Performing Arts Center, with the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Maestro Yang Yang. These concerts will also mark the opening of the Beijing Symphony Orchestra’s 2025–2026 season.

These performances bring Respighi’s masterpiece to a new audience in Asia, offering an unforgettable journey of virtuosity and lyrical beauty. This performance also holds a special significance for Italian cultural heritage: presenting for the first time in China a work so representative of the Italian violin tradition is a bold and meaningful choice, a true bridge between cultures that highlights Italian music on the international stage.

Following a series of international collaborations and debut performances across Europe, these concerts mark another milestone in Giulia Rimonda’s musical path.
