The commission made up of Nicola Sani (Artistic Director), Angelo Armento (Administrative Director), Stefano Jacoviello (Head of cultural projects and communication), Barbara Valdambrini (Head of Artistic and Educational Activities), Maria Rosa Coppola (Head of administrative activities), Anna Passarini (Assistant to the Artistic Director) after careful evaluation of the profiles, reported by the course teachers, of the students who participated in the advanced courses at the Chigiana Academy in the summer of 2022, has decided to award the "Giovanna Maniezzo 2022" Award to Giulia Rimonda.
“For the communication, promotion and dissemination of music, carried out with continuity and ever-increasing professionalism, exploiting the possibilities offered by digital channels that you use with intelligence, maturity and effectiveness. Author and presenter of columns for sector magazines, curator of musical initiatives with the Camerata Ducale Junior, Giulia also demonstrates a particular aptitude for promoting her image as an artist, showing a remarkable ability to analyze and strategically plan the use of all useful tools to building a full professional career in the world of music: from photo shoots to performance videos, from managing social profiles to designing web content.
The commission intends to underline that all this communicative activity in no way affects the quality of the concert activity in solo, duo and chamber ensembles, which Giulia Rimonda performs assiduously and in prestigious places. Her communicative effectiveness supports the diffusion of classical music by reaching and conquering an increasingly large range of young audiences, which is a necessary condition to guarantee a future for the great Western musical tradition".
